11. SMS / Text Message Communications

American Karate Institute™ Inc. offers separate SMS communication programs for prospective students and enrolled students or their parents/legal guardians. The messages you receive depend on the SMS program for which you have voluntarily provided consent.

Prospective Student, Trial & Marketing Communications

Individuals who affirmatively opt in through the American Karate Institute™ Inc. website may receive SMS messages from 786-952-7211.

Depending on the consent provided, messages may include trial class booking information, appointment reminders, important class updates, follow-up communications, and promotional messages regarding special offers, discounts, and services.

Consent for non-marketing and marketing SMS communications is collected separately.

Enrolled Student & Account Communications

Enrolled students and/or their parents or legal guardians may separately opt in to receive non-marketing SMS messages from 561-652-0355.

Consent is obtained through a separate, optional SMS opt-in process. Individuals must affirmatively opt in before receiving messages through this SMS program.

Consent to receive SMS messages is optional and is not a condition of enrollment, purchase, participation, maintaining an active student account, or receiving services from American Karate Institute™ Inc. Students and parents/legal guardians may enroll and participate in American Karate Institute™ programs without consenting to SMS communications.

Messages through this program may include student account notifications, enrollment and membership updates, billing and payment reminders, class schedule changes, school closure notifications, program and service-related updates, and other important communications related to an active enrollment or student account.

The enrolled-student SMS program is not used to send marketing or promotional messages.

Consent to one American Karate Institute™ Inc. SMS program does not automatically constitute consent to another SMS program. Providing a mobile phone number alone does not constitute consent to receive SMS messages.

For all SMS programs:

  • Message frequency may vary.

  • Message and data rates may apply.

  • Reply STOP to the number sending the message to opt out.

  • Reply HELP to the number sending the message for assistance.

  • Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

SMS consent records and mobile information will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be provided to service providers solely as necessary to operate and deliver American Karate Institute™ Inc. messaging services.

12. Opt-Out & Support

You may cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to the number sending you messages.

If you receive prospective student or trial communications from 786-952-7211, reply STOP to that number to opt out of that SMS program.

If you receive enrolled student or account communications from 561-652-0355, reply STOP to that number to opt out of that SMS program.

After you reply STOP, you may receive a final SMS confirming that you have been unsubscribed. No additional messages will be sent through that SMS program unless you subsequently provide consent to receive messages again.
