STUDENT SIGN IN
AWARD WINNING MARTIAL ARTS
From years of experience, we know that the best way to develop skills and build confidence is for our students to experience a series of successful belt promotions. Before a student progresses in belt level, he must first earn a series of tips. It is this series of victories and accomplishment of goals that builds the motivation, determination, and discipline to becoming a Black Belt.
In order to earn your belts and tips, it is very important that you sign in for class before entering the dojo (classroom).
At the end of the 2nd class the Sensei (instructor) will award the white belt. The following is a video to help you learn to tie the belt properly.
HOW TO TIE YOUR BELT
The student will earn 9 black tips. Required number of lessons vary according to belt level.
These tips are tools for parents who are having any kind of disciplinary issues at home or at school.
Once the student has earned 9 black tips, he is then eligible to start testing for the 9 colored tips. Each belt level has different requirements. Performance tips are different from the attendance tips. The Sensei will award the colored tip according to the student’s performance in class. You must look at the calendar to see the colored tip of the day.
With our many years of teaching experience, kids ages 8 and under require extra time to develop their balance and motor skills and will require a stripe belt. We realize that not all kids fall into that category but NO EXCEPTIONS will be made.
A belt fee notice will be given to the student upon being awarded the last black tip. This fee of $60 includes the performance testings, your new belt and the Gold Tip Ceremony.
In order for a student to achieve his next belt, he must do well in school and at home. Once the student has achieved all colored tips, a parent approval will be required in order for the student to be awarded the new belt at the next class. When the student achieves the last colored tip, an email will be sent to the parent.
